The Titans' schedule was released this week, and their first game of the year is for sure an underrated one. The Titans host the New York Jets, the team that fired current Titans head coach Robert Saleh less than two years ago.

This will be Saleh’s first game as a head coach since his firing, and ironically enough, it comes against his former team. It’s an obvious revenge game for the franchise he led not too long ago. According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, that matchup may not have caught Saleh off guard in the slightest.

Besides the fact that Saleh is coaching against his old team, multiple players are also lining up against their old teammates. Former Titans players T’Vondre Sweat and Jarvis Brownlee will be in Jets uniforms, and Brownlee has already addressed his plans to have a big game against the team that traded him.

The Titans have players such as Jermaine Johnson, John Franklin-Myers, and Solomon Thomas, just to name a few, going up against their old team. This may be two rebuilding teams, but the game itself may be an awesome watch during a hectic Week 1.

On the flip side, the city of Nashville got some great news as it will be hosting the Super Bowl in 2030. The Titans' new stadium will be done in the next few years, and now, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says Nashville is a "Super Bowl-ready city.”

"The one thing that was missing is the stage," Goodell said. "And I think now you're building a great stage." We have a process, but I have every expectation that we're going to see that type of thing in the future."

Besides the Super Bowl coming in 2030, they now have the opportunity to host both the College Football Playoff and the NCAA Final Four. The new Titans’ stadium will be fully enclosed, going away from the outdoor scene as they look to bring in more money for the city.

Nashville has become a solid tourist destination over the years, but it has never really hosted any major sporting events. With teams building new stadiums, it seems quite a few are going for the enclosed look as they want to draw more than just football to their city.

Overall, this is not only a good thing for the Titans, but good overall for the city of Nashville. It is too early to tell how this will change the landscape of things for both team and city, but if you are a resident or Titans fan, you have to be excited for the future and publicity coming your way.
