Another season is done for general manager Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles, but the work has not stopped. The Eagles head into a pivotal off-season where they will have to address 19 free agents of their own while looking to add players across the league when the market opens on March 11 at 4:00pm.
Starting March 9, teams can begin to contact and discuss contract negotiations with upcoming free agents. The scouting combine will kick off this week in Indianapolis, but today we will take a look at the Eagles' 2026 free agents.
My Hottest Take: The Eagles need to keep linebacker Nakobe Dean
This 25-year-old linebacker has made a huge impact on this Eagles defense when healthy. After suffering a torn patellar tendon in the 2024 Wild Card Round, Dean came back in October of the 2025 season and finished the year with 55 total tackles, four sacks, and an interception.
While it may be hard to bring back both edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and Dean, the Eagles need to exhaust all options to do so.
Not only has Dean's play on the field improved each year, he is one of the most vocal leaders the team has. Keeping him with Zack Baun while having former first round pick Jihaad Campbell in the rotation as well would be huge. Campbell could also be put on the edge as well, giving Vic Fangio even more flexibility.
While the injury concerns may be there, Dean’s absence would be felt more than maybe anyone on this defense. And on top of that, new Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker may have his eyes set on Dean in free agency. Letting Dean go to a divisional rival would be a tough pill to swallow for Eagles fans.
Campbell was able to have a productive rookie season, but when Dean returned from injury, Fangio put him right back in his starting role alongside Baun, showing how much the veteran coordinator respects him.
What You Need To Kow: It’s time to find Dallas Goedert’s replacement
Goedert was not certain to return in 2025 before the Eagles worked out a new deal with him, but now he will be a free agent after eight seasons with the team. The former 2018 draft pick had one of his most productive seasons however in 2025, catching 60 passes for 591 yards and a career-high 11 touchdown catches. The 11 touchdowns also set an Eagles franchise record for a tight end in a season.
But, like Dean, Goedert also has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career. He only missed two games this past season, but missed seven in 2024, three in 2023, and five in 2022. At 31 years old, it’s time for the Eagles and the Super Bowl Champion to part ways.
Not only are there a few viable options set to enter the free agency market, but the Eagles can also find Goedert’s successor in a draft where they are expected to hold eight picks. Isaiah Likely (Ravens), David Njoku (Browns), and Cade Otton (Buccaneers) could all be potential free agent options for Philadelphia who are capable of holding it down until a drafted tight end is ready.
In the draft, there are multiple players who could fit right into the star-studded Eagles offense. The top two prospects start with Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq, who had 51 catches for 560 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025 for the Ducks. Number two, Max Klare of Ohio State, added 43 receptions for 448 yards and two scores for a loaded Buckeye’s offense.
