The Titans captured their third win of the season on Sunday, taking down the Chiefs 26-9 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Today’s Hot Take: Cam Ward and Tony Pollard shine again as the Titans continue to gel offensively

The Titans had their third week in a row in which they scored 20+ points. Although this season hasn’t been what the Titans hoped for, it is good to see the offense making strides and getting better as they await next season.

Cam Ward was excellent again as he went for 228 yards and two passing touchdowns, one to Chig Okonkwo and the other to Chimere Dike. Tony Pollard went over 100 yards again, as he had 102 yards on 21 carries. This was Pollard’s third straight week with over 100 yards rushing.

This is what Titans have been waiting for as they progress through the season. Most fans knew this team was going to have a steep hill to climb, but they wanted to see competitive results, which this team is now bringing.

With the Saints and Jaguars left to play this season, the Titans have the opportunity to finish with at least four wins, and depending on whether the Jags play all their guys in Week 18, it could be five wins.

The Titans are projected to have the most cap space going into next season, and this doesn’t involve what they might do with the aging contracts on Calvin Ridley and La’Jarius Sneed. Regardless, the Titans have a fantastic opportunity to improve their team as a whole and come back with a revamped squad next season.

What You Need to Know: Jeffrey Simmons and Chimere Dike were named to the Pro Bowl

The Titans had multiple players named to this year’s Pro Bowl, as Jeffrey Simmons got his fourth selection and rookie Chimere Dike got his first selection.

Simmons has been the heart and soul of the Titans, and even in a bad season, has found ways to be successful. Simmons is on pace for the second-most tackles in a season in his career. He set a career high with nine sacks so far this season, including two forced fumbles, and an offensive touchdown catch as well.

The one thing the Titans did well was not trading Simmons, he is having a career season and will set the foundation for this Titans team moving forward.

Dike has been the breakout star no one expected for the Titans as he leads the NFL in scrimmage yards, and also has four receiving touchdowns and two punt return touchdowns on the season as well.

Dike has solidified himself as a top returner in this league for the next three to five years, and the Titans are lucky to have him going forward. Special teams is one of the most underrated parts of the game, and having a bad special teams unit can make or break a team.

Having a game-changer like Dike can change a team completely as he can swing momentum in the blink of an eye. The Titans haven’t done a good job at drafting the last few years, but they didn't miss with this one.

Before you go: The Titans have the chance to win their second game in a row as they take on the Saints

The Titans will be taking on the red-hot Saints from Nissan Stadium this Sunday as two rookie quarterbacks, Tyler Shough and Ward, face off for the first time in their careers. The Saints are coming off three straight wins against the Buccaneers, Panthers, and Jets.

Shough–a 26-year-old rookie coming out of the University of Louisville–has turned the season around for the Saints and has now emerged as a contender for Rookie of the Year. Many football fans scratched their heads at this pick, but Shough has brought his experience and proved the doubters wrong as he continues to turn around the Saints franchise.

The Titans are looking for Cam Ward to do the same going forward for this franchise, as he can be the player who puts Tennessee on top once again. For now, though, the Titans need to focus on finishing the season on a high note and prep to stop Shough and the Saints.
